Glowing White Curtain

Warmly waking to the
glowing white curtain,
partner softly snoring
and a blanket of snow
on the ground below.
The finches chirp at
the frogs croaking
inside of my mind,
hunger and nausea
straddle the fragile
line I wish I could ride.

Grass

Is the green
of the grass
not that of greed?

And if given
the chance,
would it not
blot out each
other
organism
until none remain?

Who am I
to see my selfishness
as so singular?

That's so cool, they look great! I've been doing a lot of booklet prints just folding in half and stapling together then dropping off at coffee shops and stuff. I love when an artist finds a way to put their content out there however it may be out of sheer necessity

Sunset

The sun dives ‘neath
the horizon it quic-
kens its pace to catch its
golden arms as storm
cloud winds spin up
plant’s leaves unfurl-
ing so stems elongate
quicker the flowers
bloom and wilt leav-
ing seed pods in the
litter between my toes the
orange autumn covers
shifting rust then brown and
I am buried every year
by the detritus of change
the compost swallow-
ing my knees waist
my torso neck fill-
ing my mouth cavern slipp-
ing down my esophagus
and stomach intestin-
al pressure strains until
the decomposed arms race
to meet at the top of
my skull with the rot-
ted warm touch welcoming
me home.

Wow this website is fascinating, here's a snippet from "Nonexistence is Mandatory" while I keep poking around. This poem is from their "System Voice" series, "Mythic and "Stillness" have more pathos and lyricism so check those out if that's your style.

The Jewel

So this is life:
the cold weather,
sunspots in my vision,
pine esters, anxiety,
and the long strife.

The light used to
pass over my eyes,
my mind on the fast
forward, the rewind’s
pleasance. All the while
the water has slipped
through my fingers, gone
out the window, without
realizing I’m missing
the jewel, the present.

It's quite nice, or
at least it's mine,
right?

The mist-shrouded morning at Point Reyes National Seashore, hiking with @sallyfisherprice.bsky.social, felt not just haunted or ethereal, but otherworldly. The zenith of that sensation came when a huge bull elk appeared out of the landscape as if a ghost from another land entirely.
