now that i think about it, you can oddly say that caine does have a streak of benevolence within him. given what he knows about abstraction and how his meddling causes it, it is only through the mercy he has that zooble is even with us right now.

i feel like the fandom is divided between "caine is evil" and "caine did not intend to hurt anyone he is not evil". i'm a fan of the third option: caine is not evil. he is something worse.
