I get where this is coming from, but it would be the end of social media in the UK - the business model would no longer be workable - Facebook et al (inc. Bluesky) would just withdraw.
You can think that a good or a bad thing, but you need to acknowledge that would be the result.

We have to classify, X, Facebook and the rest of the tech platforms as ”publishers“, legally responsible for everything that appears. It’s unnaceptable that they hide behind their users & use the “nothing to do with me, guv” defence.

The day the UK allowed you to take your own photo on your mobile phone was a good day. (There are a fair few rules, including “no smiling”, but you can basically just retake until you find one that you are happy with.)

The ending of The L Word was really good. The final season was a hot mess, but it stuck the landing in a very meta way…

I know these are terrifying times - I have a son who is conscription age, so I worry too. But the kind of drawn-out war between Canada and the US which would require conscription is just massively unlikely, and anyone that says different is simply scaremongering.
