It’s finally here! Publication day! And not, as my phone keeps autocorrecting it, ‘pub location’ day. 😂

‘Chaos Theory’ has been nurtured for 4.5 years, and now it’s finally out in the world, going on its own adventures. You can get it as paperback, e-book and audiobook.

Book cover for Chaos Theory, paperback. Chocolates spelling out “Happy pub day to you!” Beside a book and a cuddly robot. Audiobook on a phone screen. Kindle book ‘Chaos Theory’.

In fairness, we know she's not good at football so that's not a surprise.

Are they... both running for president? 😜

Very happy to be doing this live podcast recording next Friday (17th Oct) with @urchinette.bsky.social and Prof Paige Reynolds at @molimuseum.bsky.social in Dublin!

Will this be a MeetCute? Or a new love triangle? Will we get our Happy Ever After? Or just Happy For Now? 😜

This reminds me of the Half Man Half Biscuit song where he complains about a train breakdown and the subsequent “bus replacement service” that should in fact be called a “train replacement service”.

Such a pleasure to do this Q&A for the Word Herding blog.

@anneoleary.bsky.social is so supportive of other writers. Her blog is a great resource for Irish writers seeking info on opportunities, competitions, etc.

Same goes for bakers/people who like to cook. You could buy 7 ready meals from Tesco.
sylvialeatham.bsky.social
Actually! Then we need a show about you attempting to revive that show!

Is/was this a real thing? Or just the latest example of Cethan wit??

“An unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time” could be Beckett’s own review of Life. 🤣

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

My Bluetooth speaker battery died after the first 20 listens! I’m out! 🤣

I want to play! But I can only find an album with 61 variations. Will give it a go anyway.

Aw, how nice! Never did anything like this when I studied Philo. It was all Immanuel Kant and David Hume, volumes I and II!

Academic publishers have always been absolute gougers. This is no surprise. Lawsuit please!

Taking a moment to celebrate an average of 4 stars after 100 reader reviews for ‘Chaos Theory’ on NetGalley!

Thanks to everyone who has read and reviewed so far. Not many people read the book in full before publication, so it has been nerve wracking! Especially as the book goes across genres. 🙏
Screengrab from NetGalley showing that the book Chaos Theory has on average a 4 star rating, after 100 reader reviews.
