It’s kind of amazing that over the course of just a few years the “light” web has become just as dangerously filled with lies and villainy as the “dark” web. Even more dangerous maybe, since you knew exactly what you were in on the dark side and many people on the light side still trust.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea
