I recall listening to or reading a passage by the incredible Professor Dame Sue Black, that there's a bone (I think it was in the ear) in which the cells are never replaced after it is formed when you are a baby.

I haven’t seen you in nearly ten years. Does that mean I have no physical memory left of you? Does that mean that not one cell of mine has been in contact with yours? It never occurred to me before. I thought that a hug I had with you, a real one, would somehow have lasted.

But the best part, is when the story goes from a draft, to a published story on the FrolicMe site to a fully polished piece of audio to indulge all your senses. To have have writers' words come to life before my very eyes (and ears) is truly thrilling.

I love a red line through my work when it's being edited.
Sometimes the writers I work with see it as a magical collaboration, just as I do. Sometimes they fight for a phrase that they adore and we have a tussle but always make it work for the most important link in the chain... the reader.

I've been lucky enough to work with amazing editors and writers over the past 18 years and have taken note of every single comment, edit, suggestion I've been given. I love a grammatical conundrum, repetition weed-out, seeing a 'feel' as an opportunity to expand on a moment.
