c. Hib 3D structure. The N-terminal domain of Hib (1-269) is made up of four CBS domains. Two CBS domains
interacts through their beta-sheets to form a bateman module. Two bateman modules interact to form a disk-like
structure defined as parallel CBS module in51. Each CBS domain consists of three-standed (two parallel and one
anti-parallel) b-sheet with two a-helices52. In domains 2,3 and four the first beta strand is less well defined and
extended, as already mentionned in other CBS-domain containing structures. One long loop is inserted between
a8 and b10 of the third CBS domain. The C-terminal domain (272-387) has the babbba topology found in all
bacterial HPF/RaiA-like structures. The five last residues are not visible in the cryo-EM map.

Out in Science Advances: Our #cryoEM structure of HFTV1, a virus infecting the halophile #archaea. *First full atomic structure (containing all structural proteins) of any tailed virus!* Congrats and thanks to all co-authors and our fantastic collaborators! www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
Cryo-EM resolves the structure of the archaeal dsDNA virus HFTV1 from head to tail
This structure of an archaeal tailed virus (arTV) provides detailed insights into arTV assembly and infection mechanisms.

Excited to share our new paper in @cellreports.bsky.social that reshapes our understanding of chromosome organization's deep evolutionary roots! Our work dives into the origins of the machinery that structures our very genomes.
