This is one of my very favorite pieces about how you can bring yourself and your unique skills to the climate crisis. It’s by @maryannaise.bsky.social and it lifts me up every time I read it.
"Yes, it's true that you can't solve the climate crisis alone, but it's even more true that we can't solve it without you. It's a team sport." This piece by @maryannaise.bsky.social is so relevant today!

Honestly i don't understand this data. EVERY shopping site I see has been offering constant sales and deals. Friends in retail say it's bleak. A majority are struggling with lost jobs and cost of living increases. Why in the hell would holiday spending be up?!

Love this quote at the end:

"No acceptable explanation for the miraculous identity of particles of the same type has ever been put forward. That identity must be regarded, not as a triviality, but as a central mystery of physics."

I just love this research post. I keep reading it. Non-locality inherent in all similar particles across the universe. I used to geek out with a Caltech friend when I was working on a scifi proj about entanglement and ask 'what if we really are all connected?'...

And finished the revision. 🌀
This script has been such a life changer. From the research I've done, the crazy biotech knowledge I've amassed and the personal emotional journey I've gone on to write it. THIS is why we write. Such a profound human experience.

I wrote my new feature script - the 1st rough draft of it - exactly a year ago. And happenstance has brought me back to it, compelling a new revision, one that has made it into something I love so effing much I could cry.
I couldn't be prouder of it.
And I WILL make it.

The most insanely frustrating thing about the #ClimateCrisis is how the breakthrough we so clearly need isn’t technological. It’s just a collective willingness, a determination even, to change in ways that would clearly be SO MUCH BETTER than the clear and obvious consequences of NOT changing.

I'm tired of the social media 'infinite scroll' of uniform vertical boxes. Of there being no context or breathing room between a post about war, an ad for ankle boots and a person's cat pic. There needs to be a redesign. Something spatial, holistic and not owned by big tech. Anyone working on this?

Today, the U.S. faces one billion+ dollar climate/weather disaster on average every 2w. That's a massive increase from one every 4m in the 1980s.

This is 'global weirding' and people are taking notice!

The government told NOAA to stop tracking these events: but @climatecentral.org is on the job.
