There's been 21 seasons since the disaster of the 2004 ALCS where the Red Sox permanently flipped the script on the rivalry. The Yankees have been better in 15 of those 21 seasons. Unfortunately, the Red Sox have won the World Series in three of those other six seasons.

Goes without saying that 2020 was the start of something, it was obvious at the time.
But in hindsight, 2008 is a hilarious bit of schedule shenanigans. They started with four of the six worst teams on the schedule! Not exactly hard to go 4-0 in that case (but they certainly made it look hard)
