Paper no. 9 by Jiaqing Cai et al. investigates the impacts of ALAN on earthworm behaviour. This work shows how ALAN decreases surface activity of earthworms, and leads to a marked shift in litter accumulation zones in the soil under ALAN, compared to unlit soils

Where do my scientist friends find writing contracts to pursue? Just looking for options / opportunities to make a little extra money writing about science, whether for a lay audience (magazines, websites, etc.) or actual scientific papers / reports.

Thanks 😁

Does anyone have a good-quality photo of a Common Yellowthroat in the field, which they would be willing to submit (without monetary compensation) as cover photo accompanying a paper in Canadian Field-Naturalist? You would receive credit for the photo of course.
Let me know! 😄

Yes, NOAA is important because of the National Weather Service, but that is not all they do and you should stop saying it is.

Feeling so sad for Jagmeet Singh today. Collateral damage in the election & in the political fight between US / Canada. If anything we need more, not less, NDP influence but I see this as a direct result of our electoral system whereby folks vote strategically as opposed to voting for their values.
