I miss that feeling. I don't want half a hamburger anymore, I want the whole damn meal (I just don't wanna pay blizzard for that lol).

I feel like people crave that deeper experience, but I also recognise that I'm very biased and a filthy gamer.

Walking out into the Barrens and seeing how unhinged the chat was (not as much when I was playing, that era had long passed)...

Azeroth actually feels like a place you can walk around and travel in. Imagine that but with the tech and resources we have now compared to over 20 years ago.

I dunno if this is common with anyone else, but I don't really want an MMO-lite? I WANT the bigger, more ambitious worlds.

It's maybe the one thing I miss in World of Warcraft, wandering around Dun Morogh and listening to the gentle music, going to Stormwind or Orgrimmar for the first time...

I was less interested in the unfinished class design and more interested in the actual spaces that this MMO would make, but the way they described it made it seem still conceptual... and not what I'm looking for.

RNG Rogue-lite islands sound... transient, like none of it matters.

I'm not saying this to be mean, but what I saw didn't feel very solid or certain of itself.

It was far too early to be showing things and asking for criticism on barely solid foundations, only to be met with "we'll get there when we get there" when there's no guarantee you'll get there at all.

That project ghost MMORPG dislodged from Netease recently, and I don't think it'll survive finding a publisher in a space that's frankly far too turbulent right now.

The stream of the game I saw with jocat, cohh and jsh didn't give me confidence either.

Like, most of my bags are filled with gather materials purely for making money. I should probably just delete them now since most of them won't make more than a few thousand gil a stack.

Like, I can understand housing items take up a massive amount of space, because I too have a house full of items I don't use,

but also you don't need to hoard totems for trials you already got the mount for, or the savage tomes and horns you have left over.

No sign of the Votann in the demo. While I'll maintain they're probably a mercenary faction you can run, I'd welcome another campaign DLC with them leading it in the future.

But man can I get the soundtrack already? I need that music in my head so bad lol

Necrons feel like you're playing the secret level to a game after you beat it.

Reanimation protocols are still a thing, you get a resurrection orb to speed up the process.

Dominion bar makes your units stronger each kill and gives access to more abilities if units have them.

One big problem from the first game was once you break through the early game difficulty, you just out-tech the Necrons with the amount of upgrades you get.

I'm reminded of XCOM2 again and how you're always chasing to meet the enemy's tech level. It's an arms race basically.

Gameplay-wise, there aren't any cognition pylons to interact with, so now all cognition is gained through combat.

I'm curious how they handle the RPG aspect this time, the demo didn't show anything beyond combat and the usual tomb-crawling we're familiar with.

Finally got around to playing the Mechanicus 2 demo.

Did not expect them to be able to elevate the soundtrack even more, both Admech and Necron themes sound beautiful.

Got a real good feeling about this one.
