I really just hope that I'd be able to manipulate aether since it seems like many classs/jobs involve that in some way...
As far as combat jobs go, I guess SGE/MCH. The more realistic answer is a non-combat job like GSM/ALC.

On the First, where his fellow Source-expats (all descendants of a failed Allagan expedition to the Void) detected a spike in aether as their Source-connected souls also experienced the rejoining.
Shortly after, they were able to use the weakened barrier between realms to send Teejay to the Source.

This is a case where I feel like the consequences as-shown aren't strong enough (you're out for, what? a hot minute? and then nothing?) so I head-canon it as being a more serious thing—Teejay was drugged so that they could get him out of the way. If the savior of Ishgard is missing, no one (1/3)

Teejay didn't remember his nameday when he registered with the adventurer's guild (he didn't remember *anything*, as it happens) so the clerk made one up and now it's on file as his official nameday and it's too much effort to go and try to correct it so he just propagates the lie.

Teejay doesn't want to be seen as competitive...but he also doesn't want to be seen losing, so low-key yes. All of his friends kinda know.
But he also knows his limits. He doesn't want to be embarrassed at something he thinks he should be good at, but if it's not his wheelhouse then whatever.

"If they aren’t affected by age" is a really interesting thought I hadn't considered. I could totally see a world where the abundance of light-aspected aether in ShB managed to stop the (visible?) aging process, given its tendency towards stasis...

Teejay is from the First, so his homeland is gone. He has a complicated relationship with what's left—there's a sense of duty to preserve Norvrandt and prevent the First from becoming barren, but the events of ShB were also personally traumatic, and he associates that with the place they happened.

To me, it's Teejay's head shape—both with and without helmet.
Whenever I've done doodles of him, the helmet is where I spend the most time making sure it's readable. Especially the spikes on top, glowing eyes, and gold side bits.

Dancing Green and Brute Bomber are both personas they put on; their real self is probably fine to sit next to. Teejay would probably be sitting in 7 for that reason.

Usually he just covers his face, but doing that could draw attention that might unmask his alter ego, so makeup it is.

I play the job a bunch to figure out what I think the flow should be, and then once I have my own idea I'll compare it to what sites like The Balance or Icy Veins say.
It's important for me to understand the *why* and not just "press these in this order," so I need to derive my own thing first.

I have a non-WoL timeline for Teejay where he's still an adventurer, because the path leads to that happens before he ever receives the Blessing of Light.
But if he wasn't an adventurer at all, he'd probably be a chef. Though, being from the First, that means he'd have died in the Flood of Light...

Teejay's father was a merchant who was rarely at home, and his mother was a researcher who was constantly busy. His home life wasn't...bad, per se, but he and his brother were definitely the type of kids who were out "adventuring" around town with friends all day, since there was no one at home.
