He doesn't really. Being WoL is almost like alternate persona; Teejay pretends to be the fearless hero everyone needs him to be.
The problem is he thinks those close to him are also relying on that steadfastness, so it's difficult to be vulnerable with them either. Everything just gets buried.

I should probably come up with a more relevant (to him) plot for the PLD quests too; that's a neat prompt.

Ignoring the whole WoL power scaling/protagonist thing...
He probably has a decent chance. One thing I've said before is he's got some training in a variety of different weaponry, so he'd likely be able to make use of whatever he finds.
Though, if it's similar to FFXIV's PvP...maybe not.

Thus far, every event/holiday is my first time going through it, so I don't yet have many decorations to put up in advance.

I think in the past I've said that it wouldn't take too much to stretch PLD into all three roles (especially if Alisaie can flex roles on RDM). Having a melee healer would actually be kinda neat, and I'd love to see what the DPS LB might look like.

Teejay is extremely careful, thinking over everything he says and erring on the side of saying nothing if he's not sure how it'll land. To others, this comes across as hard to read, as he won't often share his mind...

TBH I don't personally like how they decided to start calling attention to/lore justifying 8 person content having 7 other people, so a lot of instances (e.g. Arcadion) are just solo.
But when he does use it, I imagine Teejay is summoning shades of his rejoined souls or past incarnations.

Teejay definitely enjoys cooking. His go-to thing to make would probably be his favorite dish from back home in the First: a nice hearty stew.
I don't think he's an expert botanist or anything, but he does know enough to be able to supplement his stores of food while out adventuring.
