ain’t this the actual story of america. so many people—largely from minority groups—actually behaving with bravery, empathy, resolve, and all the other things this country purports to stand for but never actually has supported or encouraged. we would be nowhere without them, all through history.
The fact that thousands of Minnesotans continue to show up day after day and night after night to protect their communities knowing ICE agents are a hair's breadth away from murdering them is a fucking testament to their bravery, empathy, and resolve. America has not earned it, but there they are.
