Good god, there are a lot of indie Fire Emblems and Advance Wars now, but it can be hard to search for them.

I think what would be more useful than Steam's current tagging system is a basic genealogy tree. 'Game X is most like game Y but a little like game Z'.

Searching by flavors, not genre tags.

Actually, it would be even cheaper, as this kind of debt is usually sold off at a a fraction of the actual value because creditors want to collect anything rather than nothing. $1 million can often buy you tens of millions in debt, so it’s a great ROI for do-gooders.
The actor Michael Sheen used all his money to start a fake debt collecting business, buy 900 people in Wales's debt, and excused it. If Musk bought ALL $194 billion in medical debt in the U.S. and excused it in the same way, he'd still be the world's riches man by hundreds of billions of dollars.

Harold Halibut ($13.99) - every part of this game is crafted in stop motion. harold lives on a spaceship sunk deep into the ocean, but he's driven to find somewhere new he could call home - but what is 'home'? it can mean many things. bittersweet, sincere. store.steampowered.com/app/924750/H...

this is such a depressing misread of why Trumpism wins

American voters aren't drawn to parables

They want an enemy and they want to see that enemy hurt
‘The Bible doesn’t tell us about research studies conducted by Saint Peter. Data is going to lose to parables every time.’ (Paraphrasing)

This is why bizarre bs, rumors, and propaganda from this administration are so effective. And - filling in the blanks -why the responses have been so inadequate.

It’s very funny to me that this image I made as a shirt design 2 years ago sort of became a meme that gets reposted around but nobody ever removed the url that’s in it, an actual url that I own, and it’s just taken as part of the design.

there's an interesting idea threaded through the last three or four Jurassic Park movies: mega corporations are convinced cloning dinosaurs is worth a huge amount of money somehow but it never ever pans out

you could make a really fun movie or series with this as the underlying premise

So they found a 125,000 yr old Neanderthal fat rendering plant & I have thoughts.

Knowing that they loved saturated fat SO MUCH that they industrialized to get as much of it as humanly possible?

Makes me feel seen, heard, supported, etc www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
