Another thing I've been thinking about lately is flies. This could apply to any other decomposer, really, but there's something beautiful about it- they live off of death, and are a very good prey themselves. It's like a forest fire, it's like us.

Caught myself staring at the moon on the way from the lab to my room. She's very beautiful and full. I need to dedicate more time to astronomy again... Does anyone else here care much for it? :o I'd still do so regardless, but I'm curious!

You'll have to help me tell them apart, once they're all together.
testingtoodles.bsky.social
Haha, happy to help! My reasons are largely selfish

Oh, nice that it works out then. You'd be free to visit!

i was just going to return them to you, but if you'd let me? they're probably better off in my hands. though! um! i wouldn't want to take them from you.

ok bla bla enough of that sorry... i found a few frogs, i have them in a bucket
testingtoodles.bsky.social
When they're small, sure, I can get it, but even into froghood? and the lid?
testingtoodles.bsky.social
of course you didn't have a filter then
testingtoodles.bsky.social
if the problem is air then it's way safer to just poke holes in the lid-- of course they would want to escape a JAR
testingtoodles.bsky.social
paper i encourage you to do more research next time you do something like this
testingtoodles.bsky.social
ohhh boy. you had them in a jar
testingtoodles.bsky.social
. i think i need you to explain the details of how they escaped
testingtoodles.bsky.social
though honestly, they can't have gone far, right?
testingtoodles.bsky.social
I don't happen to have such a mechanism on hand, but it HAS to work. a simple fish tank filter would work.... you had a filter when you kept the tadpoles, right? they can detect the water
testingtoodles.bsky.social
Maybe if I set up a container with running water? Frogs need to stay hydrated- they're amphibians after all! Though, my plan was just to look around. Both could work, I could set that up, and, while I'm searching, they'll have time to find it...
testingtoodles.bsky.social
do you need help capturing them. im coming to the hotel
testingtoodles.bsky.social
HAVE THE TADPOLES FULLY DEVELOPED!?

It really helps to find a motive. If you don't get out of bed and feed yourself, you can't quite be there.
