Finally made a refsheet of Apple Bird (my fursona) #art
Reference of Lezzlebit's fursona, Apple Bird TEXT IN THE IMAGE - she/her, 3'3" - timid, silly, sometimes flirty - smells and tastes(!??) like a honeycrisp apple - ultimate ability: summons 10000 nucler bombs and orbital lasers - if you want, the wings can be drawn like normal bird wings!! I don't mind!! - earrings, clothes, tail are all optional - positioning of freckles/"seeds" doesn't matter! don't worry about it - colors can also be wildly altered - hair can be many different styles! (text is underneath a simple doodle of her head with her hair in a ponytail, and a doodle of her hair let down behind her) VISUAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CHARACTER She's an anthropomorphic bird-like creature with reddish-pinkish feathers and hair. Her upper legs to her face are covered with a paler peach color, with dark spots that look like seeds inside an apple. Her wings are flat, bendy planes that reach down to her feet, with a triangular "cut" at the end. Her hair (in the same color as the feathers) is tied up in a ponytail behind her head, with some bangs over her face. Her feet / "talons" are more like pony hooves than bird talons and have a cone-like shape with a "cut" similar to the wings. Part of me feels like Dark Souls wouldn't have caught on if the first game had difficulty settings. It'd be "cheap", "pointless", etc.

Arcade games had a relatively granular difficulty option via credit feeding and it played a big part in them written off as "button mashers"/"quarter munchers".
I hit a wall on Last Judge . If there was a difficulty setting maybe I would have tweaked it, but instead I went and backtracked, found stuff I missed, and eventually came back feeling like, ‘Oh, I can actually do this now.’ Gibson: That is the ideal experience.

I think it's also the case that video game consumers don't think as much about the artists who create the work they enjoy. It's an issue in all forms of media, but it's hard to explain to people that the 'franchise' they enjoy isn't good because of the IP, but because of the creators.
