This is inaccurate.
Establishment Democrats spent a full year complaining the Left forced them to be “woke.”
But then a left populist, Graham Platner, threatened to win in Maine, so they went right back to trying to cancel someone over old internet posts.

Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
We don’t need or want your commentary on this day. This is absolutely a shit post. Please analyze the taste of your own shit and get back to the rest of us.

Este tipo blanco merece que lo acorralen y lo encierren en una prisión. Debería experimentar lo que él cree que no es nada.
If we were living under fascism, none of you would be here daring to post things. You'd be erasing your social media accounts and keeping your head down; you'd know that peacocking your faux-bravery on a network would expose you to being disappeared.
You have no idea what "fascism" really means.

Ratio me. Please. It's a badge of honor. If you don't like a link, go follow some chicken-heart who needs the approval of the thought-police. Caitlin Flanagan of @theatlantic.com is a tremendous writer and this piece is an excellent read. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
Don’t Bet Against Bari Weiss
The new editor in chief of CBS News triumphs over her critics.

the regime is zip tying toddlers and ripping them away from their mothers unclothed... calling it fascism upsets this neo-con.
I'm blocked now, can't really say I experience it as a loss.
I wonder if Tom Nichols would be posting the same thing if his apartment building had been raided and he was put in jail and had all his stuff wrecked??
Or, Tom Nichols is a fucking clown, exhibit however many we need.

I get why TechCrunch would write it this way, but I largely disagree with this framing. The broad conversation here is about power, respect, control and whether the voices of the vulnerable are taken seriously. This is the story of a leader and a team showing that they don’t get that.
A waffle-centric controversy underlines ongoing tensions between Bluesky and some of its most vocal users.
When all of this is over, Stephen Miller’s head should be on a pike.
My hot take is that Bari Weiss is like the people who threw their grandmother into the gas chamber.
My hot take is that Bari Weiss is an extremely effective specific kind of propagandist because the free press produces relatively factual deporting, but is relentlessly *laser focused* on issues that are wedges in the enemies coalition. Rather than dismissing her should be thinking about how to copy

This. She's not far right but she's directionally anti-left.
He spent most of his allotted time asking about one thing in specific: the secretary’s contention that no one has died because of the Trump administration’s cuts to humanitarian aid, and the shuttering of USAID.
Stephanopoulos asked about it over and over again. Seven times. Until he got an answer.
