Are retired. The history of archiving seems to be one of just keeping it on more and more ephemeral media.

We talk about things that have self-describing metadata but it's too late for a lot of things.

And throw in the amount of video media that is degrading. Add in the stuff that you need to know how the video was set up. BBC has a load of stuff that you need to readjust the read heads to get a half decent copy of because the original recorder was misaligned. And the people who know that

Wow - I guess the gents on the other side is the only gents outside of the stalls as well. There's toilets on each side of the stalls if I remember rightly - we're getting old and rarely get stalls tickets these days. I will say the gig last night was the first time I've seen the ratio of women

You might as well hack your own using a system you like.

Also, just because you enjoyed a property - ask yourself, does it really make a good game and is there enough to make a game with depth?

Digital Archaeology is really becoming a thing. It's the bizarre undocumented formats that are a pain - the technology teams at CERN 'hacked' a magnetic tape format so they could get more on it - using tracks on the tape that are not supposed to be used. As for dangerous marker pens - well - that seems a bit rash...back in the day, they'd let people in with kit-bags and god knows what. And there were no controls - you could go up and downstairs as you wanted. Ahhh - tenner a ticket...them's were the days!!

Megs (our offspring) is in a wheelchair and they've also been really good about access...like beyond the call of duty good.

But for all that - it's not my favourite venue by any stretch. I had hoped that their forced closure might allow them to do some work to sort out some of the venue problems.

Sound is so varied - it seems some sound engineers can cope and some can't. We went to a New Order gig where the sound was awful for half the gig, and then fantastic.

I can answer the queuing thing - it is forced upon them, that's not how the queues used to be organised at all but I believe the queue control was forced upon them as part of the conditions of re-opening. The increased checks is also part of the re-opening conditions.
