I dont want to be that girl and nitpick but how old do you think most of us our that it was our grandfathers? I love the sentiment. Just my grandfather served during the Korean War and I’m almost 40.

The biggest thing I’m hoping for is that my first pet, and geriatric orange tabby (16) lives long enough that this isn’t good bye as I’m leaving him with my sister until I get a more permanent living situation. I rescued him in 2009 and bottle nursed him.

I’m trying to be happy for me.

I’m a mix of terrified something will happen before I am able to leave. I’m sad after looking at all my options leaving is my personal best choice. Packing and downsizing has been overwhelming. I’m nervous I won’t be able to make it long term. And I’m just tired.

Thanks for presenting that information in a civil matter. And I agree. After this is all over maybe we should address the 750 US bases on foreign soil in 80 countries and hold ourselves to our own standards. This Qatar deal needs action first.

Not everyone needs to be filming, if you already see 3-4 people filming that’s more than enough. We found out about George Floyd’s murder from 1 person recording. Every one else needs to start acting like human shields and putting themselves between ICE and those they go after.

And I’m not wrong, the entire airbase is not being giving to Qatar. BUT the part this is will be only used by Qatar, breaking from the laws we have with joint training, like with Singapore on the same base. There will still be US troops at mountain home afb. It’s not similar to selling all of Alaska

When I was 6 I saw cleaning as punishment because that’s what it was used for. It may just be a cultural thing that kids don’t like cleaning. It’s all about mind frame I suppose!
