Wet and miserable out in Bristol today but did get haircut and then lunch at Not only noodles at Clifton Down where this bowl of soy glazed chicken and rice with can of coke zero cost me £12.49 the lot, bargainous in this day and age.

Watching the Two Towers extended edition and I think the main takeaway is that Middle Earth really could have benefitted from its own HS2 or similar flash public transport system. Also the ents look very silly.

Been back listening to Bleak Expectations of late and it remains gloriously silly and enjoyable, though I remain a bit puzzled by the timeline.

Been spending the afternoon watching The Fellowship of the Ring extended edition and look if they'd just killed and eaten Merry, Pippin and Gollum for sustenance it would've saved them so much time.

No photos because it's never a terribly photogenic dish, but had haggis & mash with a pepper sauce for supper courtesy of yon microwave and it was dead tasty and paired very well with a @blacksheepbrewery.bsky.social milk stout.

Saturday night so naturally indulging in some high culture in the form of the social realism that is Carry On At Your Convenience. Once again I'm struck by I think it's @paullitchfield.bsky.social 's point that no one during the filming entire series has told Patsy Rowlands that they're comedies.

Seems unfair that you only get to use the bouncy slide to get off a plane when things have gone wrong. The bouncy slide should be a treat they give to the best passengers who did the flight correctly.
