The BBC saying “the White House says many other experts still have concerns’ on the Paracetamol story is dangerous, and stupidly négligent.

I've only just realised, with the wisdom of age, that significant chunks of the West End Girls video is shot out of the river. #totp

Genuinely baffling. Focus is onTory-Reform fighting, giving Labour breathing space and opportunity to look like grown ups in the room - so some Labour cabinet members decide better strategy is to brief and mimic infighting - to what? Wrest the chaos narrative back? 🤦‍♂️

I’m glad Jenrick has gone. I think there’s an important place in British politics for a Conservative Party that will have nobody like him in it. They should of course have thrown him out ages ago but they might, just, now start working out why.

Every Cabinet awayday should have a presentation from DESNEZ.
Then a discussion on why it isn’t the fault of the machine or a lack of levers that is hampering delivery in Government.
We’ve just secured the largest amount of offshore wind in any auction ever in Britain - enough to power the equivalent of 12 million homes.

In Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 the first offshore wind project in three years has been successful - a landmark moment demonstrating our commitment to the whole of the UK.

As Liz's team are now posting here, it would make sense for more people to follow her, particularly given the debate on this particular issue.
Sharing, or threatening to share, a deepfake intimate image without consent is a criminal offence.

This offence, created by the Data Act last year, will be brought into force this week, and I will make it a priority offence in the Online Safety Act too.

As good as Stephen says. A fascinating read that might be about foreign policy but is also about No10, strategic management of Government too.
Absolutely magisterial interview with John Bew by @samfr.bsky.social and @ldfreedman.bsky.social. In a highly competitive field the most interesting thing I've read on Comment is Freed, on everything from the style of four administrations to our foreign policy challenges:
Interview with John Bew - adviser to four Prime Ministers
On Whitehall, Ukraine, Trump and the global challenges facing Britain

If Stephen survives very long in this series of the Traitors I don't know anything about this game any more. I think he's the least adept traitor I've seen. #thetraitors

Ofcom is set up as independent so it doesn't have to second guess the politics of action. It's the whole point of having an independent regulator.
This will be a test of @ofcom.bsky.social’s ability to uphold UK law.

The family theory is it is a woman secret traitor. So she is going to try and keep her odds better by keep offering up men for murder. Which in turn will make the male traitors more exposed. #traitor

Not going to be a fan of Half Man Half Biscuit I suspect.
I am a historian of contemporary Britain, with an interest in political and pop cultural history. I grew up in Australia, but lived in the UK in the early 2000s. From this, I feel like I know quite a bit about random celeb figures in the UK. But I've still had to, in the past, Google the following:

I watched Stranger Things on my own up to season 4. My wife is not a fan of scary stuff. My daughter old enough this year to want to watch it so we did it all, meaning watching season 5 together. Really great last season. It was also very helpful to have someone to help explain it all to me.
