Small but mighty book haul from yesterday’s adventures

Three books on a table made from a solid granite boulder. The books are One of Us by Dan Chaon. Maeve Fly by CJ Leede. Heart the Lover by Lily King. Amazed myself by only buying three books.

After breathing deep, lungfuls of mountain air we kicked around Peterborough, NH. Bought some books. Stared at more leaves. Pizza and beer. Good day

Fallen leaves at the edge of a river. Reds, yellows, and oranges. Reflected in the water is the tree line. I saw a snake here last time but not today.

A green toy metal truck with a cream colored bed. On it reads heavy machinery service. In the bed is a plant. This is in an antique store where I invariably buy something weird. Today it was a dental x-ray printed on a glass slide.

A set of concrete stairs to no where. Big fan of this phenomenon in Disney parks. Alongside is a wall. Plants and vines are crawling along the other side of the staircase. Would be a great place to cop a squat and read.

Tall, cool glass of beer. Much needed after stomping around all day. It was a refreshing citrus New England IPA which yes I know but trust me this was a good IPA. The brewery is Post & Beam in Peterborough.

I’m sitting on a rock in the woods up in the mountains and I regret to inform you that hiding out in nature is very restorative

Raptor look out. In the distance is the white mountains. A fake owl on a post is jutting out of the trees. Cloud cover with a blue hole of bright blue sky peeking through. No raptors but I did see a squirrel.

Standing on another rock, looking out over the mountains. Lots of cloud cover but it’s warm enough. Smattering or orange and yellow. Next week will be peak autumn vibes.
