There's a strong parallel - hell, a direct line - between the weak knees of Nuremberg and the failure of Congress on J6 to prosecute *any* of the elected officials who helped encourage & engineer that insurrection.

and the fruit of that labor to avoid all responsibility paid off in November 2024.

Just a QUICK reminder that Nuremberg was not at all the "raging success" we've mythologized it to be. Some very bad, absolutely evil assholes were let go & for the worst of reasons.

ICE secretly kidnap autistic boy during bathroom break—never notify parents.

Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone.

I can visualize a bureaucrat nervously pouring over it, cigarette burning to ash in his hand, as he tries to decide: do i censor it as subversive material & thus call attention to it? or should i ignore it & hope no one notices? Do i call my own death or do i hope it all slides into obscurity?

It has a very transgressive feel.

The yellow is bright and outshines the red, invading & dominating the space. The crispness of the edge is assertive; no attempt to ‘blend’ or mingle to compromise. And the way it deliberately angles *against* the red’s direction just screams “rebellion”.

The current meaning of “answer” has wiggled a bit away from that old take 🐍 but it rather explains the odd nature of answer’s “weird” spelling. It’s an Ancient Thing from a Forgotten Land, dwelling in a world of modern wonders.

In case you ever wondered –

“Answer” is a word with roots deep in Old English. Originally “andswaru” – basically a combo of “and/ant” meaning “against” - and “swaru”, a derivative of “swearian” meaning “to swear”.

So effectively answer = “to swear or affirm against a charge or accusation”.

Actual horror story when you own a dog. Cannot tell you the # of times a "broken arrow" event has sent me to the floor, flashlight in hand, checking tiles by eye and by feel one-by-one-by-one in a standard grid pattern.

This is brilliant. On its own, its striking & sells a story. Something DEEP. But if you *know*? this just steals the show. It sums the heart of it all up in just one glance. Phenomenal -

The "snaggy fish" were half of what made the game so unsettling. You never knew when it would remind you it wasn't just a casual little fishing game. That chime, too.

My fav was the "skull & spine" stingray. Felt like the game was saying "you've overstayed your welcome; time to wrap it up or else"

It’s really well done and a good match for the set. If you think it needs more “punch” then try changing the perspective a bit. For example, the title. Instead of the very direct “Built on Bones” try:

“Plantation House”

or if the history hits too hard:

“Kinder Garten”

Give it context.
