The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

Run, don't walk, to your library or LBS to get Ken Liu's latest--A must read.
(Lola was uncertain how to feel about being a book model, but she got ample treats as compensation. She would also recommend this book because it kept me on the couch next to her for a LONG uninterrupted while.)
