This eccentric class of warship was ideally suited to Mars' broad plains and shallow seas. Their overland speed made them ideal for retrofit as mobile TAC ARM bases during the Nibiru War.

RIP Robert Tinney (November 22, 1947 – February 1, 2026), the artist famous for his playful covers for Byte magazine, a hobbist magazine that ushered in the microcomputing age from the mid-70s through the 90s. I'm honored to have included his work in my own art collection.

Oh boy someone in America looked up for the first time and saw a "drone" again, you know what that means! I'll see you all in 3 years when corbell starts talking about the "el paso crash retrieval" as his agonizing Fly-esque transmogrification into Bill Cooper is completed

Just saw a headline that said something to the effect of "quantum computers are bringing in the age of error free computing" and envisaged an article penned just as the wright flyer lifted off labeling aircraft the "safest form of travel"

until robots are suitably charming enough and/or we have dismantled all private industry, robots should be built to a standard whereby they can be easily defeated by stairs or being thrown hard enough against the nearest wall. I should be able to kill/outwit any robot with a moderate feat of oafery

I've slowly been working on series of article tracing the history of Heavy Gear, the VOTOMS-influenced tabletop game that arrived in 1995 and still exists today. The game's origins lay with a couple of early anime magazines, Protoculture Addicts and Mecha Press.

Y'know, the thing about whatever copy editor wrote these ads for "trading generated asset portfolios with ai" is that he's got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes.
