Woman in a blue dress, sitting in a chair, holding a book.is she reading or is the looking pensively at an invisible light-source in front of her, lighting-up her face?

Best new play I've seen since Jerusalem. Alice Birch's Romans' is an unerringly resonant panorama of masculinity, starting with a public school beating and ending with a bro podcast - like a counterpart to Annie Ernaux's The Years but better. Get the returns if you can

'Timber Yard, Leeds.' (c1915) Urban subjects were Charles Ginner's special contribution to the language of the Camden Town Group of painters - it represented a determined effort by painters to explore new ways of representing the everyday realities of life in Edwardian Britain.

For anyone who needs a timeline cleanse tonight, here's my favourite painting, Sleeping Mother (Sovende Mør), by Christian Krohg, Norway 1883. I love the contrasting sleeping faces: the mother's exhausted one and the baby's blissful beatific one

that's right folks, Ohio also has the former HQ of the Longaberger company. it's a seven story basket and it's empty because the company went bankrupt and nobody can figure out what to do with the building
An office building shaped like a basket, complete with handles on the top. A plaque on the front reads Longaberger

Banana art remains popular. A banana vulva by Danish artist Thyra Hilden sold for (just) €12,000 at the Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen.

Hilden (female) is making a humorous reference to (man) Maurizio Cattelan's Comedian (banana with duct tape), which once sold for €120,000 at auction in 2019.
