Ici, là, là-bas.
I took the French driving test and got my license on the first try. That shit was the hardest thing I had ever done. Speaking French wasn't even the hard part.

As Black History Month begins, we honor the generations of Black New Yorkers who built this city into the “gorgeous mosaic” we call home.

Today, we reflect on the words of Mayor David Dinkins: our city’s first Black mayor (and a democratic socialist!).

One Samuel Godbee in Burke Country placed a notice in the Augusta Chronicle. A bounty for the return of a man who escaped enslavement. What's wild to me is I have never met a white Godbee. Everyone of them in the Augusta area come from Burke County.

At this point of my reading, the state of Georgia is just shy of being seventy years old. There was a huge fire, destroying 2/3 of Savannah. A meeting is called "in the Church in Augusta..." I just cannot imagine only one church there.

Gawker was sued out of existence by billionaires who didn't want to be investigated by really good journalists who had the perfect rolodexes to get dirt on a pervert cabal and maybe upend their whole new world order. It isn't a scandal sheet you dope.
Gawker is dead because it did not color inside the lines of the Constitution while doing the things that made people want Gawker dead. 🤷‍♂️ Lots of other scandal sheets are still around because they did that better.

Epstein being the Forrest Gump of pedophile billionaires makes sense when you consider that he had enough money to do whatever he felt like, for decades without consequence, 24/7.

*Every* billionaire could do the exact same thing if they felt like it.

Each is a ticking time bomb.

Looking at these names, one wonders who among those at that level of wealth and power isn't in the files. A prison might not be big enough to hold them.

“Independent” is doing too much work in this first wave. They are arresting journalists and just like everything else they’ve done, they’re testing the limits of our resistance by starting wt vulnerable margins.

The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

It really is true, all the journalists we're gonna see not addressing the regime's targeting of these Black journalists, bringing us information in publications & outlets, that's who you know, you can't really ever pay them any mind anymore, except with side-eye so hard it strains your eyeballs.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.

And *this* is the demand you make to your elected representatives. Immigration is good and better is possible, and we have to say it. Every day. (And academics could be using their expertise and creativity to brainstorm the how, or disseminating the why to the broader public)
Abolish Silicon Valley and redistribute all their trillions into social care programs immediately.
