You know, some of us were alive back then and we remember a lot of the absolute crap automobiles that America produced during that period which helped contribute to the near-destruction of the U.S. automobile industry. 🤨
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

Lighting the tree in Rock Center at 10pm ET is just too late. As a kid in NYC in the early '70s, there was no dragged out national broadcast show. It was just the local WNBC-NY news team coming on at 7:30pm, doing a show with some local performers, the tree being lit at 8pm, and then off to bed. 🌲

The Grenfell Tower fire in London was only eight years ago. The mechanism of fire propagation appears to be different, but, once again, installation of automatic sprinklers in these high-rise buildings would have dramatically minimized fire damage and loss of life.

Aaaaaand that's why, for the first time in over 40 years, I won't be renewing my subscription to TIME. 🤨

I was flipping through channels this morning and stopped on "NASA's Unexplained Files" when you made an appearance, discussing the possibility of space lasers and the old SDI program. The episode was from early 2016.

Trump take Christmas.
Fox guest on how to save money during the holidays:

"Remember, adults don't need gifts. Focus on the people in your life who are aged 3 to 18. Grandma doesn't need slippers. If they don't live by you, don't get them a gift."

This.
A regime of avaricious, cruel goons isn't the same thing as a "fascist state," and the fact that they have to go to court, fight it out in state elections and legislatures, cower from being filmed (instead of filming *you*) means everything.

Recognize this. Don't surrender to your fears.

"This is the best possible offer we could secure."

That is a rationalization by the side in a negotiation that knows it got scalped.

You never hear the side that won saying that - they're too busy patting each other on the back and laughing.

I'm really enjoying watching Elise Stefanik yeet what's left of her political career right into the sun.
Jeffries: "Stefanik is nothing more than a handmaiden for Trump's extreme policies. She's a sycophant. If Elise Stefanik really wants to do something about the cost of living, she should tell her boss, Trump, to end these reckless tariffs which are increasing costs by thousands per year on familie"

Here in NJ, Democratic voters showed up in force at the polls for this election. In addition, I believe that many of the "I didn't vote for this" Independents and Republicans also turned out to vote alongside us Dems.

Way to go, NJ. 😎
