@cory.laviska.com What’s happening with Quiet UI? I went to reference your build setup for it but the repo doesn’t exist on GitHub anymore? Thought maybe it was moved to private, but the social accounts are deactivated too...

On behalf of my city: I’m so embarrassed 😓
Giant Days volume 8 has been banned in school libraries in Edmonton in Canada, but the other volumes are all adjudged as fine. I am not interested in litigating the contentious sociopolitics of this here but I did have a look through to try to work out why only that volume was singled out.

✨ Big O ✨

Let me take you on a visual introduction to what big O notation is in my new blog post: samwho.dev/big-o.

With big O notation you can better understand how algorithms will perform in practice, finding orders of magnitude improvements often with very simple changes to your code.

Genuinely baffled by the requests for bookmarks — browsers have had this built-in since day one, and in the mobile app “Share via…” should let you save it to whatever bookmark service you like, no?
as head of product, my job is simple: listen to you and bring you more of what you want from social.

first up… a feature so requested, we lost count of how many times you asked.

any guesses??

Should we remove XSLT from the web platform? · Issue #11523 · whatwg/html
What is the issue with the HTML Standard? XSLT v1.0, which all browsers adhere to, was standardized in 1999. In the meantime, XSLT has evolved to v2.0 and v3.0, adding features, and growing apart f...

“…time cannot be “poorly spent” because time can’t be “spent” at all. To think that it can cheapens time. Time is limited, but not scarce. It can’t be saved. It goes away whether you’re using it or not.”
This is one of my favorite pieces at @crossplayblog.bsky.social yet. To control how they played video games, this kid's Christian fundamentalist parents created a tool even the devil would be envious of. It's time for you to learn about The Binder. www.crossplay.news/p/how-my-rel...

That insult was eventually added to the list of "unparliamentary language," which is forbidden from being used in debates in New Zealand. It also includes "idle vapourings of a mind diseased" (from 1946), "Merv the Swerve" (1980), and "energy of a tired snail returning home from a funeral" (1963)

Instead of renting or subscribing to it for perpetuity and watching it degrade as I pay more for it every month

It is a shocking concept AND YET what if... it could work
