Preparing for civil war or suppression of legitimate protest? Both are chilling.
“.. A top US military official has ordered the national guards of all 50 US states .. to form ‘quick reaction forces’ trained in ‘riot control’, including use of batons, body shields, Tasers and pepper spray, according to an internal Pentagon directive ..”

I have never, in hundreds & hundreds of sessions, met a trauma survivor who wanted to be "rescued."

I HAVE met hundreds of survivors who wanted to be seen & supported in rescuing themselves-- & caring for the past version of themselves who actually did need rescuing at one time.

It’s perhaps the most dangerous, because it’s “invisible” — coercive control is the abuser’s playbook. It’s your freedom, sense of self & independence they steal right out from underneath you
Coercive control is invisible abuse, stripping away freedom piece by piece. Survivors describe how silence, subtle punishments & relentless pressure grind them down until saying “yes” feels like the only way to survive. What looks like choice from the outside is, in reality, captivity in disguise.
The Abuse You Can’t See: How Abusers Control Without Ever Saying “No”
When people imagine abuse, they often picture a partner shouting orders, laying down rules, or forbidding certain behaviours outright.

One of the basic human rights a narcissist takes away from you is the right to be angry with them. No matter how badly they treated you, your voice shouldn't rise.
The privilege of rage is reserved for them alone.

Are you always the one apologizing? In healthy relationships, both people share accountability, but in abusive dynamics, abusers use blame-shifting to ensure you’re always the one feeling guilty—no matter who’s really at fault. #coercivecontrol

They will also up their game of sabotage while pointing to your failure
Abusers often intensify their harmful behavior when their partner starts gaining strength, independence, and social connections. 🚩
