I think about this book here and there, having read multiple times growing up, and finding quotes from it here is great!

Every bit of terror being inflicted upon our own country makes it worse for everyone. Sad that a sizable segment of the population prefers cruelty over thriving.

This reasoning is of course exactly backward. Harassers require people to harass, and if the targets of their abuse left en masse they’d likely fall further to infighting as they look for new targets among the remaining users.

It is sad because there are a hundred better reasons to leave X right now, but I still think that Bluesky adding code blocks could be the trigger for some dev communities to do the jump.
Are there plans to add syntax highlighting to code blocks and inline code to Bluesky? It is one of the top features devs appreciated in Elk. Being able to share a11y code snippets instead of images makes a huge diff. I think it could help a lot to promote tinkering with the protocol among devs

Happy new year! My all sky camera imaged the sky every 15 seconds and this picture shows what happened in the sky in 2025. It shows the length of the night and day with the hourglass shape, the monthly lunar cycle with the diagonal bands, the elevation of the Sun at local noon, and lots of clouds.
