If you are a songwriter and have writers block, I recommend estradiol!

You will (eventually) feel every emotion as if it fell on you from space.

If you survive the experience, you will not be stuck for song ideas!

* side effects include younger appearance, nicer skin, regrowth of hair, sexual dy

Putin must be laughing his head off...
'Richest country in the world' can't feed it's 'arsenal of freedom' because conservatives don't believe in negotiation or democracy?
Oh wait, Trump is in Putin's pocket. Makes sense now... for him.
For all GOP also tho?

I have to say, the anime "Sanda" is really getting interesting!
The premise sounds *so* stupid, but the actual implementation is actually quite deep.

This is science fiction.
This is about growing up and getting old.
This is about gender issues and lesbianism!?

This is...
... amazingly good!

TTRPG idea:
First session: the characters find themselves as officials on opposite sides of a bitter, brutal war, about to sign a peace treaty.
No sooner is the document signed than a magic attack rains down from the heavens.
Which side betrayed the peace process?
One of the characters knows...

Having recently visited two of Berlin's historic bunkers, Spy Family S3E3 hits kinda hard.
I know it's a fictionalized cold war world, with the sides and motivations mixed up, even if it does take place in "Berlint", but the hiding in shelters, watching friends die & doubting the news: that's real.

I had a couple of ideas about 3d printing that might be worth investigating.
One is printing a test grid to determine the actual useful resolution of the printer for doing things like semi transparent prints using manual infill.
Another is editing g-code to start prints on top of other prints.

Wow! Autodesk seems to have removed the ability to export a STEP file from the free version of Fusion 360! A new low...
I found a workaround, but... the money grubbing really does leave a bad taste in the mouth.
I feel bad for building all this content when it was free and now being locked into them

I'm finally realizing why other people don't have rooms with mountains of gear as I have; they don't have time for it because they value their connections with other people more, as I now do.

I was isolated for various reasons for a long time, so I had plenty of time for *stuff*!

Now, not so much!

i am continually thankful for what a cis woman friend told me early in transition, “honey, all of femininity is shadowplay. it’s ropes & pulleys & holsters. being a woman is tricking men into seeing what you need them to see so that you fight another day. now put on the fucking shapewear.”

No matter how much I try to insulate myself against it, knowing that everybody will eventually leave me and I'll be alone, it still hurts tremendously.

At even just the first glimmer of it, I seem to spiral into a tailspin of anticipatory depression.

I hate being like this.

Where do you go when the rave ends?
Are any of these people actually your friends?

Who do you look up
after the hookup?

Are all those that found you fly
when you were fucking high
still gonna be around
when you come down?

The first episode of "May I Ask for One Final Thing?" starts off almost exactly like another anime ( I think it was "I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss") but the ending of the episode is oh, so very satisfying!
Violence... might just be the answer!
...at least, in anime, it can be...

I was going to answer this, but everybody already has: His intent is to squeeze targeted groups until violence erupts & then use that as an excuse to have a pogrom and kill them all.
After Charlie Kirk they even said "this might be our "Reichstag Fire moment", admitting to being the Nazis.
Am I the only one who thinks that this militarization of America is inevitably going to lead to a bloodbath of some kind? What will happen if it does?

So, is there a rotary encoder with addressable RGB LEDs as indicators available?
The stuff from TopUp seems to be regular LEDs with a lot of pins to wire.
APA102 2020 tiny RGB LEDs should do it well, although I kinda like the one wire protocol better than SPI because only one pin is needed.

If the government shuts down, does ICE have to stop abducting people?
Doers the national guard get to go home?
Do they stop fucking up medical regulations & all our other rights?
Do they stop enforcing executive orders, or overturning good law, or...
Maybe shut it down?
Do they just fucking stop?

There is a rule of economics called something like "the law of perfect monopolies" which says "in the absence of competition, the price will rise to the maximum amount the market will bear". I would argue that even market friction can cause this to happen; you don't need a monopoly.
