Das ist genau das gleiche, was die viele Leute glauben, wenn um Steuern und Staatsausgaben geht.
Der Irrglaube, es gäbe eine Art staatliches "Girokonto", auf dem erst ein "Guthaben" sein müsse, bevor man etwas "ausgeben" könne, hält sich hartnäckig, v.a. als praktische Begründung für Austerity.

Wer von euch hat in der Schule gelernt, wie Geld entsteht, wie Banken funktionieren, was eigentlich passiert, wenn man einen Kredit aufnimmt? Ich habe damals tatsächlich die Schule verlassen, mit dem Glauben, Banken bräuchten Spareinlagen, damit sie Geld haben, das sie als Kredite verleihen können.

Going by the news headlines (IRS paying TurboTax to integrate ChatGPT! Nuclear roll-out to be sped up by using AI to design reactors!) we are *well* into the pets.com phase of the bubble at this point, ie. throw random shit at the wall and see if it sticks. Spoiler: it won't.
