i just made a costco account and i have to say there are a lot of unspoken rules and rituals here that i feel very alienated for not knowing. also why does costco need to explain caloric intake to me.

he actually was kind of a menace all around monmouth county. we had an actually GOOD teenager third space called the inkwell that was a cafe open 24 hours with no obligation to buy anything, and he would routinely randomly book it out for private events despite that not being a thing they do.

it was my mall! my almall mater! i was a mallrat. along with stein the furry drug dealer, kelsey trains (she rode trains), a guy i only knew as "prison glasses," and "katie's ex boyfriend who sold us literal bright green plastic easter grass instead of weed one time." we ripped cigs in chilis.

no yeah for sure! i am talking specifically about the monmouth mall. monmouth is like the richest county in the country, and this is a uniquely famous mall, which is why i think this specific set of circumstances is a bummer.

i mean, YEAH, of course, but this is functionally THE mall that gave a name to the act of teenagers making ad-hoc community spaces in spite of their absence, which is kind of a cool subversive act in itself. like it's not the BEST, but it is kind of historic.
