ICE is upset that ICE isn't welcome in restaurants after ICE ordered food at a restaurant, ate it, then arrested restaurant employees, and ICE believes this is someone else's fault, do I have that right?

That's a point as valid for the EU and UK as it is for Ukraine
Security guarantees from Trump can’t be relied on. He treats any decision point as an opportunity for extortion.
The Trump admin has indicated to Ukraine that US security guarantees are contingent on Kyiv first agreeing a peace deal that would likely involve ceding the Donbas region to Russia…

If you wanted to start a civil war in the USA, how would you do it?

I’m thinking an armed shootout between federal & state agencies.

Who’d benefit? I guess someone who wanted to invoke the Insurrection Act.

Maybe a simple & unsophisticated effort to rig elections and prevent defeat

🤔
strange to me that a lot of people on this website simultaneously agree that the administration is run by incompetents who struggle to carry out their agenda without major political blowback AND that they’ll pull off a complex and sophisticated effort to rig elections and prevent defeat in November

1/ Others have pointed this out, but there are massive hidden costs in terms of effort and contingency planning to all the Trump threats that never materialize because he never meant them, TACO'd, got talked out of it, or got distracted.

I wanted to talk about why by explaining risk mitigation.

Is there a reliable way to distinguish between “instinct” or “intuition” and “stereotyping or “prejudice”.

Or are they just different words to describe people reaching conclusions before they have evidence?

Congratulations to Russia and China.

You did it! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

USA will never be looked at as a trusted partner and ally in the world ever again, by any sane or decent country. You spent years propping up the idiot occupying the Whitehouse, and it is working.
