I sure hope this is just Thune & Barrasso making mouth noises to try to shift the narrative.

Because there's not a chance in hell that any "Pay you next week for hamburgers today" deal-i-o between Thune and Schumer would work.

The GOP rug pull would be INSTANT once a funding bill passes.

Even if you support massive deportation operations, under no circumstances should ANYONE be ok with US citizens being forcibly removed from their homes and detained without explanation.

This is a clear violation of their constitutional rights and should universally condemned.

Small point about the coverage of Hegseth’s stupid convening: Trump has not “renamed” the Department of Defense something else. He *calls* it that.

If I started calling the president “Adolf,” one would not say that I had “renamed him Adolf.” He has no more authority to rename DOD than I do him.
