Just so this is clear:

When an unaccompanied minor crosses the border CBP puts them in a facility. Then they threaten the kid with lifelong (indefinite) detention (not even deportation) in an adult facility starting the day they turn 18 if the kid won't self-deport for $2,500.

Apparently so. I get wanting stricter laws to prevent unnecessary violence, but the 2nd Amendment exists for exactly this reason. And nobody wants to exercise that right sadly.

At this point people are probably not wanting to do anything similar to the January 6 incident. But most importantly we have a good reason to do it this time. This time it'd be to have something better than a duopoly where one side claims to care but clearly not enough to do what South Korea did.
