Congress was once so powerful that they forced mass resignations of the Nixon admin and kept the CIA so hamstrung that they did Iran Contra. They reopened the fucking Kennedy assassination. They weren't *good* but they were still able to stand up to these clowns.

One way of thinking about the AI bubble is that it's the final gasp of a grift based on specialized GPU's instead of tulips, a logical continuation from crypto and NFT's and the metaverse.

Like, there's nowhere else for it to go, no other magical use for this shit other than as electronic waste.

We don't even get the data centers when all this shit comes crashing down. Like crypto farms, that hardware is only good for its specific purpose. They're gonna sell all that shit for scrap or bury it in a dump somewhere. It's a wasteful squandering of scarce resources.
