Can't say I thought I'd ever send an article from this publication, but it's too lovely not to share. @joshgondelman.bsky.social is hilarious and the best kind of wife guy.
“I love to know who she hates and to hate them as well. I love that she is good at making plans, and I am good at staying calm when plans get all fucked up on account of weather or mechanical failure.”

This is so romantic what the hell
The nice people at Playboy asked me to write something about the good parts about being married, and I was happy to. :)

I can’t stress this enough. The state of 4th Amendment law is that the cops can’t force you to type in a passcode but they can force you to swipe your finger or present your face. Never stop using passcodes/passwords to unlock your devices. And consider additional code to unlock Signal.
The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Whatever this investigation ultimately concludes, it continues to be wild to me how frequently many of us give over enormous access to our lives and data with pretty minimal beneficial tradeoffs.
Rumors have swirled that Amazon-owned Ring, which has sold tens of millions of smart cameras and video doorbells, has been providing ICE agents with access to user data. We contacted Ring for clarification, and Wirecutter independently investigated the concerns ourselves.
Ring Denies Rumors That Its Footage Is Used by ICE. Here’s What to Know.
Influencers are saying that Ring cameras are accessible to federal law enforcement and urging owners to turn off or destroy them. The truth is more complicated.

If you clean your paint supplies after a full day of painting rather than yeeting them directly in the trash, some sort of join economics/ecology award should just magically appear in your hands.

Saw this movie last night at the Marcus Movie Tavern. As this review says its a GREAT one to see in a theater with other people. If you've got the stomach for the violence that got that R rating, definitely recommend! www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/m...
