The ban on trans kids’ healthcare is likely DOA in the senate. It probably isn’t going to become law.

That said? You should be furious with these evil motherfuckers.

We owe these terrorized kids a better world.

For their sake, don’t ever fucking let the GOP win “to send a message” again.

Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.

3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.

4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.

It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Story to come.

2 industries which possibly should not even exist fighting for clean water again.
AI consumed as much water as the water bottle industry this year.

It also created as much carbon pollution as New York City, according to a new study.

The ACM Digital Library, where a LOT of computing-related research is published (I'd say at least 75% of my own publications), is now not only providing (without consent of the authors and without opt-in by readers) AI-generated summaries of papers, but they appear as the *default* over abstracts.

The blockade of Venezuela is a disgusting echo of U.S. imperialism in Latin America. We were lied to about Iraq and WMDs, and an entire generation paid the price.

Here we are again.

We cannot let a wannabe dictator drag us into another forever war.

The escalation exerts unprecedented pressure on the Maduro regime, threatening to bankrupt Venezuela's already struggling economy.

Dude is referring to himself in the third person and we are normalizing this as well? He needs to be in a home. A state run home for elderly criminals.
Q: A number of Republicans have denounced your statement on Rob Reiner. Do you stand by it?

TRUMP: Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned.

The real question is why we let cars drive over 25 on neighborhood streets. An ebike going over 20 has a much smaller chance of killing someone than a car driving under 20.
Out of curiosity why would we want e-bikes to go over 20mph??
