I said I was nervous about joining anything like WI for fear of the eventually public humiliation of being ousted and outed in my community. I prefer my anonymous face in a crowd existence. It's easier. More bearable.
I'm glad my gut continues to never steer me wrong.

I don't know many transitioned women without this finely tuned sense of self preservation. And the ones that don't are just wildly brave XD

Exclusion-induced distress is not a return of dysphoria; it is a socially-triggered reactivation of previous survival responses. The inner incongruence is gone - but the outer world recreates the conditions that once made dysphoria necessary.

Things like this remind me that there are *some* women out there who aren't (yet) radicalised into thinking we're some malevolant force out to hurt "biological women".
Most of us are deeply hurt and wouldn't want to inflict harm on anyone.
So it's hard to work out who is safe(r).

As a cis women in the UK I do not understand this, why is there this obsession with marginalising an already marginalised section of society. How in the ever loving fuck do trans people affect these bigots lives in any way, shape or form. I am so depressed at the direction my country is heading in.

I think this is my favourite part. Judge taking absolutely no shit here. Tears apart the idea that she can't distinguish between trans women and cross dressers, and calls her out on making unevidenced claims,and on still using the toilets anyway after claiming they degrade her!

GC ideology reliably turns dehumanising ideas into righteous cruelty.
Once you put the cruelty back in the frame, it becomes much harder to treat GC “safety” narratives as neutral or benevolent. They are part of the harm, not simply a response to it.

Dehumanising ideas make cruelty feel righteous. That’s what a truly harmful ideology does.
I'm talking with you because this is social media, and I think you are using it to propagate a deluded and harmful ideology, and I believe we non-believers have a responsibility to challenge it.

Today we remember and honour trans people whose lives were lost to violence and discrimination. In a time of increased division, it’s more important than ever to stand in solidarity with the trans community. Everyone deserves safety, dignity, and respect – free from fear and hatred.
