Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

On the whole I think pop songs should be about :
Being lonely.
Not wanting to be lonely.
Loss in general .
Being horny.
How rubbish weekdays are.
How great Friday and Saturday are.
Obscure films, books, historical events etc.
Being a fire starter.

I've always wondered why Chocolate Cake wasn't included on Recurring Dream. Is it because the lyrics are a bit controversial? Have the band ever commented on it?

I’m just going to say as someone who lived in London for eleven years and is currently seriously considering going back precisely because of the far right theocratic fascism of Trump, that he’s talking out of his fucking asshole.

Trump to the UN: "I have to say, I look at London where you have a terrible mayor -- terrible terrible mayor -- and it's been so changed, so changed. Now they want to go to Sharia Law ... both their immigration and their suicidal energy ideas will be the death of Western Europe."

You are qualified and trained for the job and the environment. Nobody is perfect. You can do this! 💪🤗

A low point, taste-wise.

She declared women equal to men and condemned the crass arrogance of men in a letter to the only woman with true power and influence: the queen.

For this she was denounced by her fellow revolutionaries as a royalist and two years after writing this she was sentenced to violent death.

It really does. Quite disorienting 😞

I get similar: the cat we lost to cancer 20 years ago shows up and I think, oh I haven't fed you for a while. Brings a wave of grief when I wake up and remember 🐈

Dramatic end to the day. Fire on the slopes of Vesuvius lit by the setting sun. #Pompeii
A blazing orange billowing smoke-filled sky blowing over Vesuvius. Pompeii’s Porta Nocera in the foreground.

Blimey, that would be stressful for anyone. But husband and kid will just have to deal with home stuff, you can't do everything. Focus on what you need to do for work. Stay busy and don't give yourself time to build up worries 🤗

If you want a weird but true fact to talk about:

Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring, was instrumental in this. His doctorial thesis in molecular biology was sequencing mRNA in HIV. The paper was also heavily cited in creating the COVID-19 vaccine.

It feels like we should be making a bigger deal of “we actually did in fact find a cure for AIDS”

Evidence is growing that some HIV-infected infants, if given antiretroviral drugs early in life, are able to suppress their viral loads to undetectable levels and then come off the medicine. www.wired.com/story/the-fi...

For me, this book and David Tennant's portrayal are the best starting points for Richard II
