Everything old is new again.
The trans panic is just a rehash of old homophobic ideas, Exhibit A.

Airlines some years back: checking a bag costs money now
Also airlines: Wow everyone is fighting over overhead bins, creating problems with multiple aspects of flying that add up to significant inefficiencies!

Like they expect to be pitied... Made your bed, lie in it!

I wouldn't mind having to be on airplanes so much if straight men were required to take etiquette courses before they could travel. Just being surrounded by obnoxious straight men for hours is so annoying

Tip: if you see someone masking in an airport don't pick the seat right next to them if you have other options, because they might need to eat and drink waiting for their flight and need social distancing for that to be less risky!

Plenty of open seats here. Where is common sense?

. @leidos.com i thought y'all were pushing a software update 3 years ago so airport security didn't end up harassing trans women so much...

Also: sometimes angling my hips carefully allows me to pass your crotch scan, which doesn't give me much faith in its actual security abilities lmfao

Been in SoCal two days, hardly any time out and about, and I've already seen two people totally ignore red lights despite active traffic. Didn't see such so often on prior trips here I don't think. Is this a change in driver behavior or just observational coincidence?

It would be interesting to see if venturebeat.com/orchestratio... gradually leads to the death of universal frameworks. Why include all of React when a tool can strip it to a bespoke version for your app, removing functionality you don't use, potentially shrinking the cybersecurity attack surface?
MIT’s new ‘recursive’ framework lets LLMs process 10 million tokens without context rot
While standard models suffer from context rot as data grows, MIT’s new Recursive Language Model (RLM) framework treats prompts like code variables, unlocking infinite context without the retraining costs.

Anti-imperialists in a hundred years may look back on Trump as the accidental hero who ruined the USA's ability to dominate the world 🤔
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

Toasted dried coconut shavings to me have something toffeeish about them?

And a certain nuttiness with a subtle fruity tang

Idk if things taste the same to me that they do to other people

I think we have a wheel of fronters, whose proximity to a region connecting to front itself determines their contribution energy towards a fronting state. This wheel rotates around a bunch, and has intersection points with other wheels where data can be exchanged or even wheel members switch places,

Everything must be driven by what Yanks or Europeans are doing. No subjectivity may exist outside of the imperial core. This is anti-imperialism somehow.

It's a shame more white men over 35 aren't yelling at them then. Get to work.
ICE seems to get completely flummoxed when they’re being yelled at by white men over 35. They kind of put their heads down and shuffle their feet. It’s like their kryptonite.

Someday someone will say "have you ever translated 20th century song lyrics to Terran? people talking about things they want or don't want? it's silly to hear that kinda chatter about wants after you hit 250 years old and the entire human experience palette becomes available to you, right lol"

Sometimes I notice a website bug or bad copyediting and take a screenshot because it makes me giggle.

Someday far in the future someone will be looking through my screenshot folder insanely confused about what sort of wildly contradictory worldview and terrible luck with technology I must have had

I've seen a lot of seemingly low-risk exhibitionism where someone flashes their phone cam in a secluded corner of a store, which has led to me looking for where security cameras aren't, and that's... nowhere? So are there other places besides Cali where exhibitionism is a legal gray area?
Increasingly thinking about the fact that even though exhibitionism makes me uncomfortable due to my upbringing (yet also arouses me), it's nothing more than a nuisance unless the exhibitionist is trying to intimidate a bystander (which has a lower bar for male exhibitionists due to patriarchy)

Funny story, I just got an email demanding that I vacate my storage unit in a month so they can repair damage to the storage facility.

This storage unit is 1000 miles away and contains prized possessions I was unable to bring with me when I had to move to Florida over a decade ago...
I recall lots of times where I felt moderately physically ill and quite exhausted, then someone would say "There's nothing wrong with you. Get up. Don't be lazy" and I would get up and notice that I suddenly felt fine and had plenty of energy. Wtf? Why did that work? It doesn't make any sense to me!

Realizing that I hate games where picking the wrong dialog option can lead to permanent, unexpected, negative changes to your character's storyline for a campaign.

Real life is an endless, agonizing sequence of saying the wrong thing and feeling like a fuck-up; why would I want that in a game?!
