What I remember is that Jordan Hirsch figured out a way to help hundreds of musicians get back to the city they loved and the homes they lost. Supporting Jordan and "Sweet Home New Orleans" was one of the most satisfying experiences I ever had as a grantmaker.
Jenny Toomey from Tsunami steered a ton of resources to New Orleans musicians after Katrina, including paying for an attorney to help them handle IP issues pro bono

My band this month - 90s indie greats Tsunami!

Starting it off with a great one from their final studio album, 1997's A Brilliant Mistake. One of my favorite Jenny Toomey vocals.
