Our poor kitty is in very bad condition after a botched spay, we left her at the vet and we got into a wreck on the way home. We are very poor and cannot afford all of this all at once. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

+Rcord crap I assume? It's...something sometimes

Manga G Gundam would be a really interesting adaptation for sure. There's so many plot differences in that

Our spirit is retro, but we adapt. In the era of AI, we need to be careful with art we incorporate. Going forward, no stock art will be included in our drafts, so it won't sneak into release. We'll also retain steps of our in-house process. Tks for the critique. We're listening.

Especially on fucking ino where I have to play stick figure flash movie neutral just to start dropping a combo into hoping I’m right next time

That shit does a million damage and is double digits plus and even safe on ground sb on the last hit you would have to remove my ability to breathe to get me to not do that shit given the opportunity

Anyone that does this acts like they wouldn’t and they are lying every time
tttttsd.bsky.social
I no player meter management at its finest. I’d do that shit too

That said, this game probably does have tuning issues even with this in mind. SOR4 did and that game changed lots, so I hope folks are honest and upfront with stuff.

Like I don't think it is many layers divided from that, and maybe that just means I haven't played or grinded out enough hard games, or that every roguelike I've played has only kept me in for about as long as any other game, but I happily put down Balatro after like 40-50 hours and was content
tttttsd.bsky.social
Which is to say like, it's not doing anything I think games didn't sort of tacitly do before, but it's doing so in a way that tends to ease folks into being more willing to slide into it and give it more attempts, at the cost of repelling others. Genre shit ig

Like I put a week of effort into embedding Castlevania X68k into my soul so I could put up a clear of that on stream like.....3-4 years ago. That game has no real progression systems beyond just getting better at it, but it's probably matched Balatro in time put in in my eyes.
tttttsd.bsky.social
Oh it's different yes, but I don't think its really fair to attribute it to anything but a matter of taste or like, wants out of something. I've seen "engagementslop" thrown around a bit and like, I'm sorry but it feels like yin and yang to me, as an observer
tttttsd.bsky.social
Which is to say, big changes like that aren't really out of the scope for this dev team in patches going forward IMO
tttttsd.bsky.social
I can't judge till I play for myself, but for a short list of SOR4 patch changes
- The hitstop on everything, including most def specials
- Complete rework on Axel's frame data + damage
- new mechanics for all of the retro chars
- Vast enemy AI reworks and changing of armor across the whole game
tttttsd.bsky.social
I'm a little wary to get my hands on it immediately because for as much as I glaze SOR4 that game received many patches to make it better over the years, and Guard Crush is really good at tuning the experience post-launch, so I might wait for them to do that.
tttttsd.bsky.social
About the only difference is that like, with older Arcade games you can look up strats to 1CC and all that

This said, I am also fairly certain people will figure out ways to do this game with minimal upgrades, or only taking the ones they need (extra lives when necessary)
tttttsd.bsky.social
And like yeah, it's definitely a matter of taste at that point, but in both cases I am learning the game, getting more efficient at it, tapping into new mechanics or new interactions

If the argument is time sink stuff, I think games have always been doin' this
tttttsd.bsky.social
so my struggle with understanding the full depth of this is that quantifiably I cannot make the argument in any way beyond personal taste that learning to 1CC or spending lots of time doing that is much different than just doing 3-4 runs where I power up
tttttsd.bsky.social
You're good, it is what it is. Given the type of game it is and the genre it tells me it's a part of, I don't know if I'm really inclined to jump right into it either, but I know that it having tuning issues like this is something I expected from the jump
tttttsd.bsky.social
It sounds like it might have some tuning issues at least for some. I'll probably end up giving it a go down the line to see, whether it is before or after a patch.

SOR4 didn't come out in the best state either at launch, but it improved pretty substantially over the years
tttttsd.bsky.social
Like I can't emphasize enough, they DO listen and do care about feedback and input. SOR4 at launch was an entirely different game almost. From enemy behavior down to things like hitstop on EVERYTHING, it was all pretty heavily adjusted. It's easy to forget sometimes.
tttttsd.bsky.social
Gonna play devil's advocate and say that SOR4, while a much better game now, absolutely did not launch in the state of being as fantastic as it ended up. Though this could be worse or better (haven't played it), I think this is fairly normal. It's how they take the feedback that matters
