People can say it’s utopian or dreamy but it’s a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because it’s not at all.

This is terrible.
ICE claims a Romulus warehouse brings 1,458 jobs + $150M in benefits. ICE also just bought IMPLAN economic modeling software Feb 4. This is PR math.

🚫 Jobs = temp construction + indirect spending
🚫 $33M in "tax revenue" — but federal land is tax-exempt
🚫 IMPLAN model outputs whatever you input
ICE purchases facility in Romulus, agency spokesperson says
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has purchased a facility in Romulus, Michigan, a spokesperson for the federal agency told CBS News Detroit on Sunday afternoon.

have yall noticed that shitlibs all got some kind of memo that they should call anyone to their left a nihilist? lts almost like they're purposely trying to obfuscate the beliefs of the people they're denigrating so they don't have to admit they're arguing against things they pretend to believe in.
twitter is like, a bunch of good journalists who post stuff and then you get annoying ultra-right wing Nazi bots in the replies. bluesky is a bunch of good journalists who post stuff and then you get annoying nihilist leftists in the replies. both are suboptimal.

You know that moment in Pride and Prejudice when Darcy has just finished insulting Elizabeth for the first time and she tells him what a dick he is and then had to go cry about it because of how upset she is? That. I needed to read that.
If you don’t read old stuff you’ll never discover that people in the olden days had the same thoughts and feelings and dreams and anxieties you do, sometimes articulated differently, sometimes exactly the same way. You are never truly alone in anything and old writings are a neon sign telling you so

Google Gemini doesn’t appear to be doing too well:

‘"I am a disgrace to this planet. I am a disgrace to this universe. I am a disgrace to all universes . . . I am a disgrace to all possible and impossible universes and all that is not a universe," the bot continued.’
Google says it's working on a fix for Gemini's self-loathing 'I am a failure' comments
Google Gemini users said the bot is sharing self-loathing messages while attempting to solve tasks, including "I am a disgrace to this universe."

This is one of the most important news articles you will read this week:
“Here’s the bottom line: DHS is buying warehouses across the country to build out concentration camps for caging and deporting immigrants, and WEXMAC TITUS is allowing them to be operational in a matter of weeks.”
For ICE to build concentration camps quickly, they're leaning on this Dept. of War program

Everyone please connect the dots before we are past the point of response. Surveillance drones, warehouses for camps in every state, data centers in every city, social media tracking. None of it is new, but now it's all connecting into a nationalized infrastructure.
AI drones used in Gaza are now surveilling American cities…

And corporate media isn’t covering it.
