There's something interesting happening with perception of the Quakes before the season starts.
Normally, fans of teams feel more optimistic about their team than the league writers. With the Quakes it's the opposite & very stark.

Really impressive win from San Diego to knockout Pumas when starting three weeks before the first MLS match .... especially basically playing without one DP slot.

There's a certain subset of English coaches and execs who think that anyone who graduated from a top WSL academy is better than pretty much any non-USWNT American. I'm excited to see someone actually test this hypothesis, mainly because I suffer zero consequences if they're wrong.
Certainly enjoy that Bay are letting their coach pick a bunch of English U23’s who have been mostly unable to get playing time for teams who would all be below average NWSL teams.

I believe this would be the highest transfer fee for an MLS alum ever (at least until whenever Davies chooses to move from Bayern)

Bournemouth: Petrovic (NE), Adams (RBNY), Matai (DC)
Toulouse: McKenzie (PHI), Casseres (RBNY), Russell-Rowe (CLB)
Not bad!
