I saw this video of a Vietnam vet in the fur coat yelling at ICE and thought to myself, "this is missing something," before I realized, "Ah, of course, the Ether instrumental. It's so obvious."

Baltimore City Schools has no zoned high schools; everything is by choice. Because the most desirable schs are concentrated in the northern half of the city (Poly, Western NW, City NE, Dunbar E), students in W and S Baltimore face incredible commutes.

The Board could fix this. They've chosen not to
Beautiful exhibit at The Peale with works by Baltimore City students sharing their experiences with public transit.

Heartbreaking/inspiring to hear how children deal with a system that doesn’t prioritize their needs or safety. Baltimore’s history of racist segregation looms large.

Obsessed with Orville Peck's DREADED SUNDOWN to the point that I think I'm going to write a 4-6 session weird west campaign inspired by it.

I was already weepy after my 12yo curled up with me tonight and told me how grateful she is to have me as a mom. And then I watched this and now I'm SOBBING (in a good and joyful way, which is much needed).
Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

My boomer dad's anxiety about protestors getting hurt is giving me a fucking migraine.

Like, at least he's got good opinions and understands who the bad guys are. He's doing so much better than the average 70-something white guy, but bro. Channel that anxiety into something that isn't texting me.

There's a lot of bad in the world, but I am getting a lot of joy bc my kid whose whole world has been Fallout for years gets to experience the resurgence of the game thanks to the TV show.

As part of the move, I'm re-doing the 15yo's room and turning it into a Fallout vault-inspired, retro-future, midmod post-apocalyptic bunker.

It's all I can think about.

I take chewable vyvanse bc it doesn't have as sharp a come down in the evening for me. And it's kind of fun bc it feels like taking a Flintstone vitamin every morning, but for my executive functioning.

Trouble is, also like a Flintstone vitamin, the child inside me wants to eat the whole bottle.

Baltimore tattoo crew! Despite having a great many tattoos, I've never taken a design to an artist and asked them to make a tattoo.

I have a linocut print that @magpie.tips tips made for me of the 15yo's beloved stuffy Moo Moo, and I want to get it tattooed on me! Who do I go to for this??

As a follow-up, where are the Baltimore witches and pagans gathering?

I know about Reclaiming and have had hit or miss experiences over the years.

There's also CedarLight, but I'm not sure they are still active.
Any members of the Baltimore UU congregation here on bsky? Curious if there is a pagan affinity group affiliated with the church like the UU in Columbia.
