This is no more lawful than if Iran / North Korea / whoever blew up a couple American yachts in the Mediterranean for suspected drug trafficking. On the legal spectrum it sits in the middle of a Venn diagram between overt acts of military aggression, state-sponsored terrorism, and simple murder.

We didn't do anything extraordinary here. Sure, I wrote a nice script, and my friend @barubin.bsky.social did a fantastic job overlaying visuals. But what we're saying is pretty obvious.

What I wonder is why *we* have to say these things as opposed to, I don't know, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social?
"Show them you're not afraid. Do it for the country. For the Constitution. For your family. For yourself. Do it for your freedom. While you still can."

This is excellent. Every Dem strategist who thinks there's risk in engaging these debates should watch it for guidance.
On October 18th, millions of brave Americans will stand up and peacefully protest against the authoritarian disease metastasizing under Donald Trump.

capitulated in the worst way possible to the actual fricken Empire.

Norwegian teachers and students wore paper clips to signal their opposition to Nazi occupation. They attached them to their lapels and wore them as jewelry, a symbol of solidarity binding them together as paper clips did with papers.

Dr. Mason's explanation of how identity politics evolved is fascinating. One thing I disagree with, though, is that people don't know anyone from the "other side." I think that most people on the left have family members on the right, and vice versa, naturally.
What's causing the rise in political violence in America? Can we overcome it? And if not, what’s in store for our democracy?
