Of course Donald Trump is siding with Vladimir Putin over Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Of course he is abandoning another ally. We’ve seen this coming since November. The entire embarrassing spectacle was yet another example of Trump manipulating the news cycle.

Democrats run some of the wealthiest states in the richest country on earth, but we fail at the most basic task of human society: building enough homes. If we can’t solve this in places we govern, it’s no wonder voters are losing faith in the party.
“Democrats must distinguish ourselves as the party of results by focusing on governing well in the places where we hold power. That will mean reckoning with our past failures.” @scottwiener.bsky.social

Serving as President this year has been an honor, thank you to my colleagues for their dedication, character, and commitment to proving that local government can be a beacon of action, solutions, and respect.

Saying something hurtful about a victimized group days after an election that terrified them isn’t bravery, it’s cruelty. Writing an op-ed to decry the backlash only shows the backlash was the point. You’re using a wedge issue to score political points, then continuously stoking it.

Yes, the hypocrisy is real. Republicans play by different rules, and Americans consistently hold them to a lower standard. MAGA thrives on outrage, not accountability. It’s unfair, but it’s a fact we have to accept if we want to change how the game is played.
It's like they're oblivious to their own hypocrisy.

No. This entire ‘issue’ is a right-wing trap, using rare hypotheticals to distract from Republicans’ failure to address real problems like healthcare, housing, and wages. Trans kids aren’t a prop, and I guarantee Americans aren’t interested in Democrats handwringing over this.

Church Street before and after urban renewal. It SHOULD be a historic downtown neighborhood with a mix of housing types from SROs to apartments, condos and single family homes, steps from the Commuter rail. Instead, it’s an asphalt parking lot abutting a parking garage and a neglected mall.

“…These changes will require all of us to take an open mind to rethinking the last 60 years of unsustainable sprawl and embrace more walkable, infill housing development (again!).”
“We have to think bigger & be bolder when it comes to solutions to our region’s greatest challenges. These changes require all of us to take an open mind to rethinking the last 60 years of unsustainable sprawl & embrace more walkable, infill housing (again!).”

Walkable, denser development can address both housing and traffic woes
Part of the solution to our existential housing and transportation crises is building more homes, of all types, in and around walkable neighborhoods.

If we’re looking for answers, here’s a good place to start. Institutions don’t work. But since the New Deal, Dems have defended them, and Republicans dumped on them. Dems need to become the truly progressive party again and fix them, delivering results like housing, high speed rail, and clean energy

Whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, using marginalized groups for attention is so cowardly and when Americans get tired of this, which group is next?
Does somebody need to do a wellness check on Nancy Mace? She is absolutely unhinged. She continues to tweet about trans people and bathrooms.
